During his academic career, Laurent worked at the Oncopole in Toulouse, focusing on the role of the RhoB protein in the emergence of binucleated cells.

He later obtained his CEIPI diploma and has been working as a patent engineer since 2015.

Laurent has acquired extensive expertise in the protection and defence of innovations through his work at various intellectual property firms. He has collaborated with small and medium-sized enterprises, large corporations, and institutions.

His areas of expertise include:

  • Biology and Biotechnology, particularly biomarkers and marking methods
  • Pharmaceuticals, including devices and methods for molecule capture
  • Diagnostic, prognostic, screening, and treatment methods
  • Chemistry, particularly synthesis processes and electrochemistry
